Let me start by telling anyone reading this testimonial that I could not have found anyone better than Kind Companions to care for my father.
I found myself in a terrible situation. My Dad had very late-stage prostate cancer which had spread into his bones. He broke his femur by simply
turning to hard when walking. After Dad got home from the hospital it was difficult for him to get around, but he was strong and wanted to do things
on his own. He developed a bad bed sore that required hospitalization. It was clear that he needed to get his strength back if he wanted to continue
living at home. The skilled nursing facility lasted just a couple weeks. The care provided to him was terrible. I was there 8 to 10 hours a day just making sure
my Dad was being cared for. I received a call one morning that my Dad had fallen out of bed and had been transported to the hospital. Dad had broken his
the second vertebrae and now was in a neck collar. Dad refused to go back to any skilled nursing facility and just wanted to be home. Thank God for Andrea,
Nicole and all the caregivers from Kind Companions. They took care of my Dad 24 x 7 for 5 weeks with compassion and kindness you very seldom see.
Dad loved each and every one of them and told me how happy he was with his new friends. My Dad passed peacefully, at home, with his family and his new
found friends. Just the way he had wanted. I honestly know that I could not have found anyone, or any company, that could have given my Dad the kind of
care, support, friendship and smiles other than Kind Companions.
Many thanks to all you did for our Dad. It was reassuring to us knowing he was cared for in such a supportive and loving manner. There are not enough words.
Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the care you and your team provided Mom. Your support allowed Mom to stay in her own home on the farm. Mom was so grateful for that, and your team made that happen. Thank you again for your kindness & compassion. A special thanks for always being there for me in caring for Mom. Keep up the good work that you do as it is so needed.
Our hearts are full of appreciation and gratefulness for our short but meaningful journey together. Please extend our thanks to your crew, especially Kim. The care and knowledge she injected into our situation was and is invaluable. I keep thinking of your words during our first meeting at our kitchen table. You said "I know who would be a good fit" - And you sure did! A perfect fit it was indeed. A situation that in my mind was so overwhelming became manageable, calm and a total natural process. All because of what you do. Thank You.
